Been kinda bored lately so I started checking out Minecraft servers. I'm new to Minecraft but I got Minecraft Java and Minecraft PE, so far I've been mainly playing singleplayer learning about the game and now I think it's time for me to try Minecraft online servers.
I found server list that lists both Minecraft servers and Minecraft PE servers, but there is something to keep in mind, those Minecraft servers are actually different and different client is needed to join. For example you can not join Minecraft PE servers with Minecraft Java client, same way you can't join Minecraft Java servers with Minecraft PE client on your phone. It also kinda makes sense, since you can't really play desktop edition on your phone, I mean you can play it but it would be super hard due to Minecraft mechanics.
With that being said, it seems like there are tons of Minecraft servers, you just gotta use the right client to join them and again keep in mind you can not cross join servers so, Mobile Minecraft can join Mobile servers and Desktop Minecraft can join Desktop servers. Kinda strange analogy but it's the best way I can put it lol.
I've also found out that some Minecraft servers only support one version for example Minecraft 1.15 while other Minecraft servers are supporting whole range of versions for example Minecraft clients from 1.8 to 1.16 and so on. If you're getting error messages client outdated etc on join, then you probably have to switch your Minecraft version.
